Can you guess what color this insulation is supposed to be in the first photo above? Yellow! There was that much dust and debris in the attic that their yellow insulation was brown. We replaced it with a naturally occurring eco-friendly brown insulation and you could hardly tell the difference. Needless to say, Insulation Removal was first on the list.
Our customer already had a young daughter in the house and his wife was expecting another child, so he thought it was the right time to give us a call and not only get the insulation up to date, but also do what was needed to avoid any exposure to potentially harmful attic conditions, especially with a build-up of debris that had occurred.
Time to put a stop to all that wasted energy above your and to keep your family as safe as possible!
Many homeowners are unwittingly spending more on their energy costs than they need to because their insulation is inadequate and needs to be replaced. With adequate insulation a homeowner can expect to keep as much heat in as possible during the winter and as much heat out as possible in the summer.
In order to realize the most energy efficiency as possible you need to hire a professional to install batt insulation in the first place and you will need someone like a highly qualified Attic Guys team member to help you remove your old blown insulation and all the debris as well to do the entire project right the first time.
Debris removal is an important part of the process and in the case of one of our existing clients, Attic Guys was able to provide some peace of mind as well.
Attic Guys carried out a diligent debris and insulation removal service, safely removing items like an old antenna, asphalt paper and loose bits of wood, together with the old batt insulation, all then safely taken off site without exposing the family to any health hazards.
Once the area was cleared of any debris and the old insulation removed, we installed Knauff EcoTouch Insulation, leaving the customer with the peace of mind that their family was being kept as warm and safe as possible.
The family also requested an attic fan be installed in order to exhaust any build up of heat at the end of the day. Keep in mind an attic fan is best after the attic floor is sealed and an adequate amount of insulation is installed. A customer once told me their electricity bill went down 25% in the summer after we installed a radiant barrier, new insulation and an attic fan.
